Welcome to the Pixresizer page of Footsfitters Website | ||||

This is a simple way to Resize images to make them easier to fit onto web pages, or as is more the case with images loaded directly onto the British Farming Forum to get them to fit in the available space without having to scroll up, down, left and right to see the image! Personaly I use a free image resizer called PIXresizer it will do single images and multipules. Once you have installed PIXresizer you should get this window-
In panel 2 ensure that either the 75% button or custom size of 600x450 is entered and tick the maintain aspect ratio. Check that JPEG is selected in panel 3. Now click Save picture in panel 4, this will ask you where to save it, because I usually upload fairly soon I save to the desktop so it easy to find it!, it will save it with the original image name plus the new size in brackets, it is best to remove the space in front of as well as the brackets & their contents as many webservers hate these...just replace the end bit with "resized", click save & there is your new image ready on the desktop to upload.
To do this you need to specify a source and destination folder, I find it best to create a new folder in My Pictures named either source or target to place copies of the images you want to upload together. Once selected as the source in Pixresizer it should always open up with your folder preselected (remember to remove old images 1st and replace with your selection before opening Pixresizer) now select the required size by moving the cursor or toggling the up/down button in panel 2, or for a quick preset use the appy recommended. Finaly click save pictures in panel 4 and your images will be sent to your target folder if you have made one or perhaps to the desktop if like me you will be uploading straight away.
